Castlepark Stud was set up twenty years ago by my husband and I. After a degree in Veterinary Medicine and some work experience in one of the biggest stud farms in the North of Italy, I decided to go to Ireland to spend a breeding season there.
Very soon I fell in love with the Irish countryside and with an Irishman! I got married and stayed to live in Ireland where my children Jack, Julia and Jamie were born. In the meantime, having worked mainly in the neonatology and reproduction field, I began to dream to have one day my own stud and offer boarding and foaling services for anyone sending their mares to Irish stallions.
Since the beginning it has been quite successful and after the experience of the first few years we purchased some land in Golden, in the heart of the Golden Vale, and built all the facilities for a modern farm. We offer all the necessary services for the care of the mares and their foals: foaling (there is a new purpose-built foaling unit and very experienced and dedicated staff), veterinary assistance (myself), walk-in to any Irish farm.
